Please note ~ ALL APPLICATIONS should be checked at the district level.
Please note ~ All teachers should submit names of all possible applications to be considered for these awards BEFORE YOUR DISTRICT DEGREE CHECK: Lone Stars, Stars, Proficiency, John Justin Award, Ryan Mott Scholarship, Dan Taylor Scholarship, Honorary Teacher Lone Star, Honorary Non-Teacher Lone Star, School Based and Service Learning Awards, Chapter Awards using this google form:
- Please use the form to utilize what applications should be at your district check, then provide me with the winners/scratches/placings from your district.
- You should be selecting a district winner in these categories: Stars, Proficiency, John Justin, Ryan Mott, Dan Taylor Scholarship.
- I will update the winners on the spreadsheet as you send them to me.

American FFA Degree (award year 2024)
Please use this form (American FFA Degree award year 2024) to submit potential names for American Degree Candidates from Area I for award year 2024. See those names here. This is an INTENT to apply only and helps the area to know which chapters have candidates so we can check and approve them for submitting. You should be working on your American Degree Applications through the AET recordbook system. Questions: Aaron Bednarz - Lubbock-Cooper AST, John Weathers - retired AST. (use teacher's directory)
Dates you need to know:
- American FFA Degree application submission system through AET will open January 1, 2024
- Deadline to submit name to Area I using this form: February 15, 2024
- If you have a candidate to be CONSIDERED for a star, please indicate that on this form. They can always revert back to the regular degree.
- Deadline to submit application to Area I through AET: March 1, 2024
- Corrections will be done during March, 2024
- Deadline for our Area to submit applications to Texas FFA - April. 1, 2024. The applications must be COMPLETED before that. Please do not delay.
